Who we are
The department 91877 Electric Driveline is responsible for the build of prototype E-machines and delivering of test objects. 
We provide test objects in order to support the development process of new products as well as providing important feedback to R&D and Manufacturing Engineering regarding assembly feasibility, risks and potential improvements for upcoming product launch. The team is currently located in Skövde but will move to new facilities in Floby within a year.
This is a great opportunity to move into the world of product development and test object creation. 
What you will do
We are now looking for our next committed and collaborative colleague who is eager to join us!
You will be a part of our pilot plant team Electric Driveline, managing the re-tooling activities connected to the E-motor prototype build in Floby. 
You will develop and adapt our assembly procedures to secure that we meet present and future product and process requirements. 
Together with the team as well as internal and external stakeholders you will play a crucial role to secure that the equipment is adapted to handle upcoming builds within our area of responsibility.  
With your knowledge and expertise, you will support the team by identifying equipment that needs to be updated, address needed actions and execute implementation of updates and improvements.
You will make an important contribution, bringing value to the whole pre-production flow and we believe the best results are achieved together with the team while having fun.

What you will bring
We believe you have a BSc in engineering or equivalent working experience. 
You have experience from working in the automotive industry, preferably within Volvo Cars product development and are able to work independently in systems such as TcE and CATIA. You also have a high technical understanding with ability to assess and evaluate potential risks and improvements before, during and after the build activities. 
You are interested in the automotive world as well as exploring new technology and methods within your area of responsibility. 
You are fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken. 

To thrive in this position, you have a genuine interest in technology and believe there is always possibilities to utilize. You possess a strong initiative capability to make things happen and don´t hesitate to strive towards the goal even in tough situations.

This position for you with several years of previous experience from production processes and product development, preferably from automotive. What you’ll do

At Manufacturing Engineering, you are part of an engineering team that makes sure that the propulsion systems we build meet the highest expectations from our customers. As our next Senior Commodity Engineer, you will coordinate product and process development during project and running phase for our Skövde plant Electric Drive Unit production, together with your industrialization team from concept phase to Final Status Report. 

You will also: 
•    Be product and process responsible from manufacturing point of view and take full responsibility and ownership within the area.
•    Develop and verify lean, robust and ergonomic product and process solutions and be accountable for the result.
•    Ensure product and process feedback to Central Commodity in order to fulfil the manufacturing requirements.
•    Perform and verify FMEA for process.
•    Release and quality assure necessary steering documents.
•    Collaborate and communicate with other stakeholders globally to align, learn and improve production solutions.
•    Work with continuous improvement in all aspects of my role.
•    Plan and prioritize tasks according to delivery and verification need and contribute to balance work within our team.

Have at least B.Sc. in Engineering or by us evaluated equivalent competence gained by experience from project management. Also have experience from implementation of production lines and equipment. 6 Sigma competence is also beneficial. We believe you have great communication skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written, and you collaborate well with others. Volvo Cars Propulsion Components (VCPC) is responsible for the production of the full electric engine for Volvo Cars including assembly, logistic and part of the support process. Production VCPC continuously develops the complete process to reach optimal quality level and delivery precision.
We are now looking for supervisors to this area. 
As a supervisor you will get the opportunity to work and develop in a transforming environment while designing the future. You will report to our superintendent and be a part of the management team.
This role will follow the production shift which means there will we work during different shifts, with alternating weeks of day shift and evening shift.

What you’ll do?
As a leader you will be part of our management team and be directly supervising and coordinating the activities of production and team members. 
Your main purpose is to coach and assist your team to empower them to work as a cohesive unit to meet the organization goals and work according to set working methods. You are the owner with full mandate to drive the lean transformation in your team and flow. Your focus is real-time management being able to react to deviations and improve processes. As a team member of the production team, you will gain the possibility to develop, improve and take part of the transformational work to set new “ways of working” standards. As leader in production, you are a role model by lean management behavior and transformation. Organizing work and resources in such a way that the company goals in the short and medium term meet effectively is key in this role.

MEP Gen 2 Manufacturing Volvo Cars Propulsion Components is responsible for the production of the full electric engine for Volvo Cars including assembly, logistic and part of the support process supply components of premium quality in the right time and at the right place. Production VCPC continuously develops the complete process to reach optimal quality level and delivery precision. 

VCPC Manufacturing is taking full responsibility of the Production within the main areas of Assembly, Logistics and needed support functions . 
We are now looking for a Supervisor to this area. 
As a Supervisor you will get the opportunity to lead and develop in a transforming environment designing the future. You will report to our superintendent and be a part of the management team.
This role will follow the production shift which means there will we work during different shifts
What you’ll do?
As a leader you will be part of our management team and be directly supervising and coordinating the activities of production and team members. 
Your main purpose is to coach and assist your team to empower them to work as a cohesive unit to meet the organization goals and work according to set working methods.   
You are the owner with full mandate to drive the Lean transformation in your team and flow.
Your focus is real-time management being able to react to deviations and improve processes. As a team member of the production team you will gain the possibility to develop, improve and take part of the transformational work to set new “ways of working” standards. As leader in Production you are a role model by Lean management behavior and transformation. Organizing work and resources in such a way that the company's goals in the short and medium term meet effectively is key in this role.
To be successful in the role you must be able to lead the team in a way that supports the Volvo Cars culture and wanted leadership behaviors. What you’ll do 
As Manufacturing Engineering Manager of Propulsion Component Industrialization team in VCPC (Skövde), you will be leading a team of engaged engineers working for the optimized process design, line installation & commissioning for our EDU processes in the plant. You are in close collaboration with other Manufacturing Engineering functions, Shop Management, Program Managers and the HQ in Gothenburg to ensure we meet the highest process standards and the plant prerequisites. 

You are expected to hold the ownership of process design and ensure process changes in the plant for the future and ongoing vehicle programs, with your team. The main responsibility for Industrialization is to implement vehicle programs, change orders and process changes in respective production site. The Industrialization team also actively participates in the work to define and maintain technical and commercial strategies within each area. The Industrialization Manager reports to Manufactuirng Engineering Propulsion Components Industrialization Director and as part of the management team you are not only representing your team but you are also expected to bring both ideas and engagement for the complete unit in your vehicle plant.

Together with Manufacturing Engineering, our purpose is to develop and secure the best available techniques, as well as develop new manufacturing and logistic processes and set new standards.
Further development of the role will be a part of the assignment and the ambition is to form this role to be the future leader of Volvo Cars Propulsion Components logistic team or a specialist within logistics.

What will you do 
You will initially be a part of the electric front/rear axle drive project team and lead the development of future production processes as well as part of the launch of new components.
During this project phase you will be a part of creating routines, procedures and way of working between Volvo Cars and our manufacturing partner in order to achieve and implement the best possible processes. You will be responsible for educating and training the people that will run the logistic process in the future and support the teams with the right prerequisites to ensure targets are achieved. Furthermore, you will lead manpower efficiency and ratio plan as well as improvements connected to in-plant logistic processes and equipment. 
A part of the role will also be to support development, introduction and implementations of packaging and material handling and how processes can be improved. Responsibility of maintaining and optimizing installed In Plant Logistics processes in terms of Volvo Cars aspects as well as to drive Volvo Cars Manufacturing System pillar implementation.

Do you fit the profile?
We believe that you hold a university degree or equal education/competence within production and logistics and preferable Volvo Cars Manufacturing System and lean production. We believe you have a passion for cars and new technology and logistics. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Vad kommer du att utföra 
Som medarbetare hos oss ingår monteringsarbete av elmotorer i en ren och fin produktionsmiljö. Inledningsvis kommer du genom manuellbyggnation av förserier och testmotorer vara en del i arbetet utöver testkörning och idriftagning av ny maskinutrustning. 
Som operatör arbetar du med montering av motorer med hjälp av maskiner. Det innebär att köra, övervaka och förvalta ett ägandeskap av produktionsmaskiner med avseende på kvalitet och effektivitet. Du bidrar kontinuerligt till ditt lags framgång genom att du i ditt dagliga arbete följer våra gemensamma arbetssätt och metoder beskrivna i vårt produktionssystem VCMS (Volvo Car Manufacturing System). 

I ditt arbete hos oss på Volvo Cars arbetar du aktivt för att bibehålla och förbättra avdelningens mål. You will build commitment in the team, drive development of the business, develop Volvo Cars Manufacturing System, reduce losses and drive operations against lean transformation. Organizing work and resources in such a way that the company's goals in the short, medium and long term meet effectively is key in this role.

You handle questions regarding customs clearance and invoicing from suppliers worldwide. You are the speaking partner/single point of contact between supplier and Task Leader within our team when deviations occur regarding agreed delivery times and volumes.

Competence is Important 
We see that you have a university degree in Logistics or other related studies, in addition, you need a couple of years of experience in supply chain. You have gained a good understanding of logistics and the European transport market as well as the intercontinental market.  

You have strong knowledge and experience in MS Excel and understand operational planning and resource allocation. You are fluent in English both written and spoken, Swedish and/or Chinese will be beneficial.

If you have experience from a forwarder or in-house logistics team this is an advantage, equally experience from another OEM or tier 1 supplier is of interest.

Manufacturing Engineering - eMachines, is a section within Manufacturing Engineering within Volvo Cars. We develop and implement quality assured, flexible and effective production systems in Volvo Cars Propulsion Components production sites. The section is working cross functionally and project oriented, supporting all Volvo Car Group´s Propulsion Components production plants and car programs locally and globally. The team Local Line & Equipment is part of Manufacturing Engineering and has responsibility for develop and implement production lines and equipment solutions for product projects, running changes, capacity projects and non-product projects according to project targets for the Volvo Cars electric machine production. 
You will be part of an engineering team that implement engineering solutions that fulfil attribute requirements and manufacturing process demands within decided cost and time frames. 
The work includes contacts with global team, other engineering departments, plant engineering and production within our company as well as with external suppliers.
The position requires some travelling.

What you will do?
As our next Project Leader/Equipment Engineer you will lead or execute equipment projects for Skövde electric machine production site together with a project team from concept phase to Final Status Report.

You will also: 
•    Lead the team need to develop, validate, install and verify equipment and process.
•    Create and analyze the equipment part of the process layouts.
•    Perform safety-, reliability- and cost analyzes.
•    Perform Equipment risk assessments.
•    Support running production with second line analyzes within the area of responsibility.

Do you fit the profile?
We believe you:
•    Have a B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent competence gained by experience.
•    Have good communication skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
•    Have experience from implementation of production lines and equipment.

It is meritorious if you have experience from leading positions, knowledge of the processes, methods and tools (Teamcenter) at manufacturing. Skills in process development, preferably in automotive industry, and 6 Sigma competence is also a plus.
As a person we believe you have great communication skills, and you collaborate well with others. We also think you are a structured person who plans and has documentation skills. Self-driven, result oriented, flexible, and positive attitude are also needed competencies.

About the assignment
Within Manufacturing Engineering, we are now looking for a Global Product and Process Manufacturing Engineer who will lead the cross technical product and process manufacturing work. You will represent Manufacturing both in early and industrialization phase within the EAxD-area, with global strategic responsibility. Volvo Cars and Geely are undertaking a significant industrial collaboration as they merge their combustion engine operations into a stand-alone business in order to establish a new global supplier that will seek to develop next-generation combustion engines and hybrid powertrains.
The new organization will develop technologically-advanced and efficient combustion engines and hybrid powertrains for Volvo Cars, Geely Auto, Proton, Lotus, LEVC and LYNK & CO. The new stand-alone business can also supply third-party manufacturers, providing exciting growth opportunities.
The gradual electrification of the automotive industry means there will be significant ongoing demand for efficient hybrid powertrains alongside fully-electric offerings. Hybrid cars need the best internal combustion engines. This new unit will have the resources, scale and expertise to develop these powertrains.
The new business, currently operating under the internal name ICE, will be an employer for approximately 3,000 employees from Volvo Cars and around 5,000 employees from Geely’s combustion engine operations, including research and development, procurement, manufacturing, IT, HR and finance functions.
 We are now looking for a Head of Quality at the Skövde Plant that will be an important member of the Skövde management team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
What you will do?
You will lead an experienced teams, with a large spread of competences and a variety of assignments during a time when we as a company are taking steps on a game changing transformation of our business. You will act as the customers primary contact in all Q matters and manage the eCAL station for final control for complete engines. For incoming material quality, the team is responsible for inspections if needed or requested and you will align with central SQM about activities and priorities towards suppliers and internal stake holders. Part of your responsibility is also to coordinate general Q activities between plant/central/customers/suppliers as needed. 
 As manager for the plant you will lead problem solving development and routines to help operations to act in an efficient way based on available PPS tools and formats. You need to ensure that standards and routines are established and implemented according to ISO and IATF certifications.

Indirect Procurement (IDP) is responsible for procurement of all non-production materials and services to all our staff and plants. This Senior Buyer role is within Maintenance Repair Operations and Facility Management Hard (e.g. construction, heating, cooling, ventilation & electric) Our mission is to purchase these commodities to our plants in Europe and China, with excellent quality to the best possible value. Your main stakeholders will be the local Maintenance operation and Facility Management. We work together with our stakeholders to create and deliver supreme value together with our suppliers.
