Position Overview
The Data Architect is a key member of the Architect Team, responsible for designing, optimizing, maintaining and implementing the database architectures and the broader data platform. The role ensures data storage, access, and processing are secure, scalable, and cost-effective across both on-premises and cloud environments. The Data Architect will play a hands-on role in database administration, performance tuning, and designing self-service capabilities for developers. The person will be required to work closely with Platform Engineers,Data Engineers, Architects on proof-of-concepts, implementation and monitoring of the solutions
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the organization's data platforms and architecture, ensuring reliability, scalability, performance, cost-efficiency and compliance with regulations.
Lead the transition of data platform management from external vendors to internal teams, ensuring a smooth handover and full ownership by the Platform and Data Team.
Identify opportunities for optimization, modernization, and cost reduction across the data stack, and design, implement, and monitor effective solutions.
Administer My Percona and other platforms, managing CDC processes, tuning performance, optimizing storage, and ensuring high availability and efficiency.
Design and maintain the enterprise data management framework covering planning, acquisition, usage, archiving, retrieval, control, and purging.
Collaborate with Platform and Data Engineers to design and implement best practices for storage, CI/CD integration, data service architecture, and automation of provisioning, migrations, and recovery.
Develop self-service tools for developers, improve observability and logging, and implement monitoring for platform health, availability, and cost metrics.
Apply and enforce security best practices, including access control, encryption, backups, recovery, patching, and compliance with internal and industry standards.
Mentor engineers on data platform architecture and operations, and align data strategies with overall platform and development needs.
Evaluate emerging technologies through PoCs and establish KPIs to continuously improve platform performance, security, and cost-effectiveness while reporting insights to leadership

Requirements
Experience in data platform management and architecture
Expertise in My Percona and relational databases
Strong scripting and automation skills
Ability to work independently, communicating with various stakeholder to eliminate blockers
Expertise in diagnosing and resolving data performance and operational
issues in both on-prem and cloud setups.
Proficiency in designing and implementing cost-effective data solutions.
Hands-on experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) tools, ElasticSearch and event-driven architectures.
Experience in developing and rolling out strategies to migrate from an on-prem database platform to cloud based Lakehouse solutions.
Experience implementing data platform security best practices and ensuring compliance with data regulations.

Position Overview
The Hybrid Cloud Architect is a key member of the Architecture Team, responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and governing the organization's hybrid environments across compute, networking, storage, security, and platform automation. This role is hands-on and focused on building scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions across AWS and on-prem infrastructure, enabling the business to innovate securely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
Own the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions, with a strong focus on maintainability and efficiency across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments
Own the end-to-end design and implementation of secure, scalable, and cost- optimized on-prem infrastructure, leveraging cloud whenever is adequate
Perform cloud migrations and modernizations, defining roadmaps and execution strategies
Perform on-prem migrations and modernizations, performing cost benefit analysis, cloud alternative evaluations, creating roadmaps, developing and rolling out execution strategies
Develop and enforce governance policies around cloud provisioning, cost management, tagging, and lifecycle
Troubleshoot incidents or misconfigurations of services deployed on both cloud and on-prem setups
Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance performance and reliability on both on-prem and cloud
Support the integration of on-prem and cloud environments, including hybrid connectivity, workload placement, and identity federation strategies
Architect, implement and maintain both on-prem and cloud networking
topologies, including VPCs, VPNs, Transit Gateways, subnets, routing, DNS, and load balancers.
Implement IAM policies, security groups, RBAC, and encryption in line with Zero Trust principles.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with GDPR and gaming regulations
Integrate threat detection, auditing, and remediation into the platform
Manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS), including lifecycle, scaling, and monitoring
Partner with platform teams to enhance CI/CD infrastructure and ephemeral environments
Ensure high availability, performance, and disaster recovery for production workloads
Lead the continuous improvement of monitoring and observability for on prem infrastructure, including deep investigations of complex issues and contributing to the evaluation and selection of observability tooling
Monitor cloud usage and implement FinOps best practices to control spend and maximize ROI
Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Automate provisioning, patching, scaling, and teardown of infrastructure components
Implement tagging and observability tools to improve visibility into operations and cost drivers
Be the expert across the organization, advising engineers and stakeholders on best practices
Partner with developers, data architects, domain architects and platform engineers to align on-prem/cloud architecture with application and data needs
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to teams adopting cloud native solutions, on-prem solutions and hybrid solutions.
Develop and maintain documentation and internal standards for cloud/ on-prem usage
Lead proof-of-concepts and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to cloud platforms and automation
Stay current with industry trends in on-prem/cloud architecture, platform tooling, and platform security
Identify opportunities for architectural and operational improvements in the on prem/cloud ecosystem, balancing cost, reliability, performance and stability of the related platforms

Requirements
Cloud, Platform, or Infrastructure architecture
Certified AWS Solutions Architect Associate (Professional is a plus)
Proven experience with AWS (multi-account architecture, VPCs, IAM, EKS, etc.); Azure or GCP is a plus.
Experience working in hybrid environments with both cloud and on-prem infrastructure. Demonstrated ability to design, maintain, and migrate workloads between these environments.
Strong background in networking, security, and automation (Terraform,
Python, Bash).
Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD tooling.
Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and observability practices
