The role of the EHS Advisor is to provide Environment, Health and Safety guidance working with the project team. You will implement and maintain the Kirby management system for the project. The role is to coordinate all EHS Matters within various Project Management Teams and to report constructively all EHS matters to Project Manager. Under the direction of the EHS Manager, the EHS Advisor will be responsible for providing support to the Project Managers, supervisors and workers. This position will provide leadership and coordination of the day-to-day EHS requirements of the assigned project(s). EHS Advisor Responsibilities
• Reports to EHS Manager, Site Managers/Supervisors and Project Manager.
• Is conversant with the contents of the Kirby safety statement, environment manual, risk assessments, aspects & impacts, legislation and procedures.
• Provides advice, guidance, instruction and training in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including where applicable to sub-contractors, suppliers and visitors to sites).
• Carries out internal audits and site inspections in conjunction with Site Management, recommends corrective actions, improvements and document findings.
• Prepares in conjunction with site management team a project specific EHS Plan, induction and Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS). These shall be compiled and agreed prior to work commencing and ongoing through lookaheads.
Ensures that the project specific EHS Plan, induction and RAMS are up to date, reviewed periodically and communicated to all relevant persons (including clients, Main Contractor, other contractors, visitors and others who may be affected by that work).
• Visits each new project, sets up the necessary site safety files (Series 500 & 600), registers, abstracts of regulations, posters, SEOR program, etc., and ensures that site establishment complies with the legislation, client regulations and company regulations as a minimum.
• Reviews Contractor Appointments and ensures that correct appointment is carried out and that only competent contractors are used on projects.
• Introduces and implements effective measures aimed at the prevention of incidents at work.
• Reports on incidents and/or dangerous occurrences should they occur to the EHS Manager, Project Manager and Site Managers as required.
• Reports on areas of concern to the relevant party for correction. Persistent and serious areas of concern are to be reported immediately to line management as per (1) above. Retains evidence of communications with relevant parties.
• Carries out incident investigation in conjunction with site management, establishes cause of incident or dangerous occurrence and recommends method for future avoidance.
• Audits the company site safety file, (Series 500 & 600), makes sure that hazards/risks are regularly assessed, that control measures are implemented, that inspections are carried out and that all incidents are reported, investigated and closed out.
• Prepares Monthly KPI Report for their projects, issues monthly return of Site Visit Schedule, SEORs, KPIs, violations to the EHS Manager and the Business Unit Manager. Issues new SDS to EHS Manager.
• Provides training and information to the workforce using appropriate training aids and media as required. Issues records of training to HR to update the training matrix.
• Attends the regional EHS Coordination Meeting.

Facilitate Planning Meeting(s) where required
• Validation of High Level Target Schedule as received from PM considering current emerging IFC project information
• Optimize build schedule & develop “Pinch Pint Register” identifying where we are not in agreement with Main Contractors / CMT schedule

Status and Performance Advisor (Controlling Phase of Project Life Cycle):
• Provide clear communication of early warnings to project management teams obtained from progress reports and knowledge of project field conditions
• Advise project teams on ways to improve performance
• Monitor package progress and efficiency (direct and subcontract) provide “estimate at completion” on labour man-hour spend in conjunction with the Commercial Team

They will also manage specific EHS projects as required by the business, assist with tendering processes, provide training and lead a dedicated team of EHS Advisors within the division. This role requires frequent travel between projects and may require overnight stays.
Key Functions of the EHS Manager
• Provide EHS leadership and coordination within the division, to direct training matters, competency requirements both internal and external in order to comply with statutory and other requirements and also to improve project leaders’ abilities and understanding of the EHSMS.
• Be proactive in all matters concerning the role.
• Report on business EHS risks, KPIs and trends accurately with data and recommend constructive actions towards continuous improvements.
• Coordinate all EHS Matters within the Division and report constructively all EHS matters to the Business Unit Manager and EHS Manager.
• Audit and inspect projects and the EHS Management system in the division to verify its implementation. Agree and prepare achievable corrective and preventive action plans towards continual improvement of the EHSMS.
• Ensure incident investigations are carried out in a thorough and professional manner in order to identify root causes and corrective and preventive action plans.
• Ensure that Site Plans, RAMS and other associated site documents are updated and compliant with statutory and other requirements and that they are reviewed on a continuous basis.
• Provide advice, guidance, instruction and training in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including where applicable to sub-contractors, suppliers and visitors to sites).
EHS Manager Responsibilities
• EHS Managers - Reports to the Kirby EHS Manager, Operation Managers and Business Unit Manager.
• Is conversant with the contents of the company safety statement, environment manual, risk assessments, aspects & impacts, legislation and Kirby procedures.
• Provides advice, guidance, instruction and training in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including where applicable to sub-contractors, suppliers and visitors to sites).
• Arranges for the implementation of the EHS management system with EHS Advisors for all new and existing projects.
• Reviews Monthly KPI Report for projects, EHS Advisor Site Visit Schedules, SEORs, KPIs, Discipline & Commendation, Site Inspection Reports complaints, incident actions, requests for information and recommends actions.
• Ensures that a project specific EHS Plan including Risk Assessments specific to the work is drawn up and agreed prior to commencement of work.
• Carries out internal audits and periodic site inspections in conjunction with Site Management and site EHS Advisor, recommends commendations, corrective actions and improvements and document findings.
• Ensures that all incidents and dangerous occurrences are reported to the Kirby EHS Manager, Business Unit Manager and Project Manager, as required, without delay.
• Carries out incident investigation in conjunction with site management, establishes cause of incident or dangerous occurrence and recommends method for future avoidance.
• Liaises with Statutory Authority, Main Contractor and Client when required.
• Identifies, co-ordinates and provides training as required.
• Attends Business Unit Meetings and reviews Incidents, KPIs, SEORs, Corrective Actions and Project EHS requirements.
• Attends Quarterly combined EHS Meetings and carries out EHS meetings with EHS team.
• Ensures that project meetings and co-ordination meetings are carried out on projects with EHS on the agenda.
• Monitors P.P.E usage and advises site management on type of protective equipment required.
• Advises the client, Main Contractor, or others who may be affected of safety hazards on sites under their control affecting Kirby
• Ensure Sub-Contractors are appointed correctly for projects, their performance is assessed, recommends commendation, corrective actions and improvements.
• Issues Non-conformances, commendations and disciplinary notices both written and verbal if required or instructed to do so.
• Assists with prequalification’s and non-commercial submissions for tenders.

Role Purpose
As Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for the engineering activities on a specific construction project. The activities associated with the project will vary and will be agreed with the Project Manager on an ongoing basis. You will co-ordinate the technical design with the onsite installation through to the successful commissioning ensuring that the vision, mission & values are fulfilled.
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities
In conjunction with your project team, you will be responsible for the execution of various stages of a project as follows:
• Complete electrical design review to identify design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications.
• Validate cable sizing and make recommendations as appropriate.
• Ensure that technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay.
• Compile and issue electrical technical submittals.
• Manage submittals through the approvals process, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment and complete the receipt verification process once the equipment is delivered.
• Attend & record regular supply chain meetings to ensure that progress is monitored & maintained within the overall construction programme.
• Update and record progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with the construction schedule.
• Review the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible and that there is adequate space for installation and maintenance of all equipment and cabling.
• Liaise with the design team & supply chain to ensure correct operation of the plant on site & successful handover.
• Complete electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawings.
• Compile test pack, FTOP’s and O&Ms; and present for approval.
• Manage specialist vendors during the commissioning process to ensure timely completion of their works.
• Undertake client training in line with agreed training plan.

Role Purpose:
The role is to plan, manage and co-ordinate the Commissioning Turnover activities on a specific Mission Critical project. To leadthe processes for Turnover and commissioning ensuring consistent application of agreed procedures and utilisation of standard forms. The role also requires the ongoing mentoring of Testing Turnover & Commissioning personnel on the project to ensure their continued development.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Ensure the E&I Turnover protocols are followed by either taking on the role directly or appointing individuals responsible for this role.
• Structured mentoring of the testing & commissioning technicians in line with an agreed plan with the engineering manager and Testing & Commissioning Regional Lead.

• Lead Tagging walkdowns in line with Turnover schedule to ensure highest standards of Quality and develop all internal
W1 Internal Punch lists.
• Liaise with QC Project Lead to ensure Punches are closed out as per Walk down Protocol W2/W3 walkdowns in line with System List and report to PM and System Owner.
• Report completeness of construction activities and advise PM of deficiencies by way of report.
• Liaise with all CFCI equipment vendors to ensure they are fully aware of our specific requirements and review/approve
all proposed FAT/SAT and Testing & Commissioning RAMS.
• Ensure Safe Systems of Work are adhered to Strictly as the Project Authorised Person (LOTO/EPTW/Switching/Testing).
This is up to MC as per system.
• Witness and ensure all documentation is complete as per regulations and project specifications.
• Ensure all pre- and post-energisation testing & commissioning activities are witnessed by Kirby and signed off as accepted.
