JOB TITLE: BIM Engineer
ROLE PURPOSE
Reporting to the Lead MEP Co-ordinator the BIM engineer has responsibility for delivering all 3D and 2D co-ordination milestones on each project. The role of the BIM engineer is project specific and all engineers to be based on site within a BIM environment when requested. When not working on a specific project the BIM engineer will be based within their Business Unit office and report to the Lead MEP Co-ordinator. They may need to assist with other smaller projects and produce tender information.
KEY FUNCTIONS
• Support the project team with regard to all co-ordination deliverables
• Delivering all 3D and 2D deliverables set by the BIM lead
• Assisting the Project BIM Lead with production of 2D co-ordination and installation drawings
• Assisting the Project BIM Lead with 3D elements needed for design and co-ordination
• Supporting all parties working within the BIM process
• Working within a team environment help to achieve efficient project delivery


KEY TASKS, ACTIVITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Project Delivery
• Detailing of 3D elements needed for design and co-ordination
• Production of 3D model files through Revit and where needed Plant 3D and CADworx
• Production of 2D co-ordination and installation drawings
• Ensuring that detailed model files are co-ordinated and clash free by clashing against federated model on a constant basis (every 30min)
• Taking direct instructions from BIM lead on all design issues
• Clash detection of submitted files
• Daily building of federated model
• Ensure all files submitted in correct format
• Attend weekly co-ordination meetings when requested
• Support all parties working within the BIM process
• Assist with clash resolutions on site
• Verification and preparation of layout drawings to meet contract requirements
• Confers with project engineer and project management staff to resolve problems and explain drawings to production or construction teams and providing adjustments as necessary
• Production of all verified record drawings
• Site surveying & verification including point cloud scanning and total station operation
• Updating and administrating of all co-ordination documents registers and drawings
• Assist with tenders and other drawing requirements from the business unit.
BIM Development
1. Work within a designated project working as part of a project team
2. Gain knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems with regard to 3D co-ordination
3. Develop knowledge of onsite co-ordination, fabrication and construction
4. Attend co-ordination meetings and develop communication skills
5. Move to a Project BIM lead position when the opportunity arises and deemed ready by the Lead MEP Co-ordinator

Role Purpose
To represent the Project Manager on major construction sites and to take responsibility for all site related activities associated with the construction of a varied range of projects. The Electrical Construction Manager will be expected to take the lead on all on-site activities from pre-mobilisation through to commissioning and eventual demobilisation.
Electrical Construction Manager Responsibilities
In conjunction with your project team, you will be responsible for the execution of various stages of a project as follows:
Project Start-Up:
• Assist PM in development of construction programme, short term look ahead planning reports, equipment and materials schedules.
• Visit site and develop a site establishment schedule.
• Familiarisation with change management with PM.
• Assist in project validation.
• Put site safety starter pack in place and participate in HSEQ plan.
• Set up site establishment.
• Method statement and Risk Assessment preparation and review with sub-contractor.
• Review construction drawings and sign off
• Assist in benchmarking installation practices and Quality procedures
Project Running Phase:
• Productivity
• Develop a daily key action plan that includes HSEQ, productivity and people management.
• Assist Project team in expediting of major equipment deliveries.
• Maintain a site diary
• Attend/Chair internal meetings with sub-contractors.
• Ensure that all variations are picked up in conjunction with PM and QS.
• Ensure labour allocation sheets are being completed by sub-contractors.
• Produce short term programmes in line with master programme.
• Mark up master programme each week and issues to PM.
• Effectively manage sub-contractor supervision to enable efficient productivity
• Ensure sub-contractor workforce is on site at workface on time.
People
• Liaise with sub-contractors to address available work faces.
• Liaise with our client in co-ordination between building and services.
• Work closely with other supervisors to ensure effective co-ordination between M&E services.
• Integrate with other internal and external supervisors to ensure cross co-ordination of trades and installation processes.
• Take ownership and responsibility of issues to drive out solutions in conjunction with Project Manager.
Safety
• Ensure tool box talks, inductions and safety briefings are being carried out.
• Maintain plant logs and ensure weekly safety checks are carried out.
• Ensure operatives are working safely, wearing appropriate PPE and working to agreed method statements.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Policy in particular to the operation of work permits, site safety audits and weekly walk arounds.
• Carry out daily walk around adopting a “don’t walk by” approach to safety.
• Implement H&S behaviour/culture and Golden Rules.
Quality
• Plan and co-ordinate delivery of materials and plant.
• Mark up drawings in conjunction with inspection testing.
• Ensure inspection test plan is enforced by snagging works, then offering to client for inspection at various stages of the installation working to ZERO snags.
• Ensure that free issue equipment is checked, cared for and once accepted confirm to engineer to sign off for payment.
Close Out Activities:
• Liaise with commissioning engineer in ensuring all systems are tested, demonstrated and handover.
• Ensure all site safety devices are proved.
• Ensure all life systems are complete and certified.
• Issue final marked up drawings are correct.
• Liaise with PM on site demobilisation, including plant, labour, materials and site establishment.
• Ensure all statutory notices, schematics, wall charts are in place on site in accordance with project completion checklist.
Other Duties:
• Maintain a site diary.
• Assist QS in his / her duties
• Ensure company’s good image is maintained at all times.

The role of the Environmental Health and Safety Lead is to provide Environment, Health and Safety guidance working with the project team. You will implement and maintain the management system for the project. The role is to coordinate all EHS Matters within various Project Management Teams and to report constructively all EHS matters to Project Manager. Under the direction of the EHS Manager, the Environmental Health and Safety Lead will be responsible for providing support to the Project Managers, supervisors and workers. This position will provide leadership and coordination of the day-to-day EHS requirements of the assigned project(s). The role may require to be positioned on a project full time or working on various projects. This role requires frequent travel between projects and may require overnight stays.
Key Functions of the Environmental Health and Safety Lead Provide advice, guidance, support and instruction in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including where applicable to sub-contractors, suppliers and visitors to sites).
Provide leadership through good example. Be proactive in all matters concerning the role.
Identify training needs, report requirements to project team and carry out training as required.
Audit and inspect projects, agree and prepare achievable corrective and preventive action plans towards compliance to and continual improvement of the EHS on the project.
Report on business EHS risks, KPIs and trends accurately with data and recommend constructive actions towards continuous improvements.
Ensure incidents are reported and investigations are carried out in a thorough and professional manner in order to identify root causes and corrective and preventive action plans.
Ensure that Site EHS Plans, RAMS and other associated site documents are updated and compliant with statutory and other requirements and that they are reviewed on a continuous basis.
Environmental Health and Safety Lead - Responsibilities
Reports to EHS Manager, Site Managers/Supervisors and Project Manager.
Is conversant with the contents of the Kirby safety statement, environment manual, risk assessments, aspects & impacts, legislation and procedures.
Provides advice, guidance, instruction and training in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including where applicable to sub-contractors, suppliers and visitors to sites).
Carries out internal audits and site inspections in conjunction with Site Management, recommends corrective actions, improvements and document findings.
Prepares in conjunction with site management team a project specific EHS Plan, induction and Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS). These shall be compiled and agreed prior to work commencing and ongoing through lookaheads.
Ensures that the project specific EHS Plan, induction and RAMS are up to date, reviewed periodically and communicated to all relevant persons (including clients, Main Contractor, other contractors, visitors and others who may be affected by that work).
Visits each new project, sets up the necessary site safety files (Series 500 & 600), registers, abstracts of regulations, posters, SEOR program, etc., and ensures that site establishment complies with the legislation, client regulations and company regulations as a minimum.
Reviews Contractor Appointments and ensures that correct appointment is carried out and that only competent contractors are used on projects.
Introduces and implements effective measures aimed at the prevention of incidents at work.
Reports on incidents and/or dangerous occurrences should they occur to the EHS Manager, Project Manager and Site Managers as required.
Reports on areas of concern to the relevant party for correction. Persistent and serious areas of concern are to be reported immediately to line management as per (1) above. Retains evidence of communications with relevant parties.
Carries out incident investigation in conjunction with site management, establishes cause of incident or dangerous occurrence and recommends method for future avoidance.
Audits the company site safety file, (Series 500 & 600), makes sure that hazards/risks are regularly assessed, that control measures are implemented, that inspections are carried out and that all incidents are reported, investigated and closed out.
Prepares Monthly KPI Report for their projects, issues monthly return of Site Visit Schedule, SEORs, KPIs, violations to the EHS Manager and the Business Unit Manager. Issues new SDS to EHS Manager.
Provides training and information to the workforce using appropriate training aids and media as required. Issues records of training to HR to update the training matrix.
Attends the regional EHS Coordination Meeting.
Attends the EHS meeting with the Business Unit Manager, as required (1 per region).
Attends internal and external site meetings as required – safety meetings, coordination meetings etc...
Implements and promotes the company Incentive Scheme on all projects.
Arranges distribution and maintenance of fully stocked first aid boxes on site.
Monitors P.P.E usage and advises site management on type of protective equipment required.
Issues non-conformances, commendations and disciplinary warnings both written and verbal if required or instructed to do so.

Arbetsuppgifter
För att kunna leverera den samlade markledningsförmågan, som Försvarsmakten efterfrågar, har FMV rollen att integrera ett flertal system från olika leverantörer och säkerställa funktion med övriga system i Försvarsmakten. För att möjliggöra detta arbetar FMV tätt tillsammans med både Försvarsmakten, strategiska industripartners samt flertalet leverantörer. Inom FMV har det inrättats ett program med kompetens från fler olika verksamhetsområden för att klara digitaliseringen. Vi söker dig som bidra till markförbandens digitalisering och fördjupa och utveckla dig inom kvalitetsområdet.

Du arbetar tillsammans med olika medarbetare och projektledare från FMV, FMV:s industripartners samt vår kund Försvarsmakten. Rollen innebär att du är med och säkerställer att Markledningsmateriel (mjuk- och hårdvara) installeras, konfigureras och driftsätts samt dokumenteras enligt överenskommen beställning. Arbetet innebär dels uppföljning och kontroll av FMV:s industripartners installationsarbete, men även utveckling av metoder och processer för att öka kvalitéten och minska felkällor i produktionen av Markledningsförmåga.

FMV:s verksamhetsområde Test och evaluering (T&E) har huvudansvaret för verifiering och validering av Försvarsmaktens tekniska system inom flyg och rymd, sjö, mark och ledning.

På T&E Mark:s provplatser i Karlsborg och Skövde genomförs verifiering och validering (VoV) av markstridssystem, som till exempel fordonssystem, ammunition, vapensystem och skyddssystem. Verksamheternas främsta uppgift att genomföra olika typer av avancerad provningsverksamhet, där Karlsborgs verksamhet ansvarar för området vapen- och ammunition, medan verksamheten i Skövde ansvarar för militära fordons- och stridsfordonssystem.
