The purpose of the Management Consultant role is to facilitate the implementation of change management strategies within the client firm. The Management Consultant is a resource of data and analysis, providing the fact base and consultation point for decision making. The Management Consultant facilitates the prioritisation of projects, solving root cause analysis and determines the areas of highest value within the client business.
The Management Consultant also provides analytical support to idea owners within the client business, providing some leadership in the problem-solving efforts. The Senior Associate must recognise when ideas are under or over-performing expectations and ensure effective prioritization of initiatives and appropriate pace of implementation.

This position conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an
organization or functional area. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged
course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the

Scope
The purpose of this position is to plan and execute the Project Controls requirements for a project. This
role is responsible for providing technical and administrative direction, coordination, evaluation,
training, and coaching to a team of Project Controls specialists. This position serves as Control Team
Leader/Project Controls Manager on medium and large-sized projects or as a Subject Manager Expert
(SME) for the entire Project Controls Team in the Regional Office. Acting as a key resource on a project
team, the role will require collaboration at all levels, including: client representatives, Fluor
management and functional leads.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a project controls plan as part of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) for
the project execution
• Plan and organize the setup of project baseline in Fluor’s project controls system, and
implement a plan to track against the baseline on a regular basis
• Develop cost, schedule, and commercial baseline
• Responsible for providing technical and administrative direction, coordination, evaluation,
training, and coaching to a team of Project Controls specialists
• Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the
reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
• Supervise the implementation of Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and
integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract

As a significantly experienced superintendent, it requires directing other line supervision as necessary in their roles to meet or exceed all project objectives. This position requires the ability to coordinate and direct construction craftsmen in numerous crafts within the assigned area of responsibility. This position is typically responsible for numerous crafts, multiple areas, and/or large numbers of craftsmen; and often including direct oversight or coordination of other contractors/subcontractors.

• Plan and direct the work activities of all involved crafts for assigned construction crafts in alignment with available engineering deliverables, tools, construction equipment, and materials
• Confirm that subordinate line supervisors and construction craftsmen are trained and knowledgeable of specifications and work procedures, that material is being utilized to ensure optimum efficiency, and that work is being performed in conformance with specified quality requirements
• Assist with management of contractor activities in conjunction with contracts administration group
• Monitor the work activities schedules and manpower requirements to meet established completion dates together with optimized productivity
• Approve or authorize the coordination of craft personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules; typically responsible to establish construction crew organization and composition including craftsmen qualification level, foremen and general foremen
• Oversee all activities with a driven focus on scope change management and project controls elements
• Play an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed
• Manage all small tools and consumables to assure a cost effective and productive construction execution
• Manage construction equipment as required, including planning, monitoring, and controlling such as needed to assure safe and efficient construction execution
• Directly support project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for all construction activities
• Typically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback
