Science Park Skövde is looking for a business developer with the ability to coach entrepreneurs in the growing and international gaming industry. Our mission is to search with broad focus, to find entrepreneurs in the sector and through a continuously improved process at our hands, support them to verify their game ideas and build sustainable and growing businesses. Throughout the years, we have helped renowned studios like Coffee Stain, Iron Gate, Landfall, PocApp, Hiber and Stunlock.
You will be part of a successful and committed team of business developers, working together for the startups that are trying to succeed in a highly competitive market. Our main location is at Science Park Skövde, with a satellite at Lindholmen, Gothenburg.

The role
In the role of business developer at Science Park Skövde game startup program, Sweden Game Startup, you meet developers who want to realize their dreams as entrepreneurs in the gaming industry. With a coaching approach, you help them stay focused and work on what's important, whether it's verifying the commercial viability of the game or preparing the company for an investment.
Our process of supporting startups includes both group lectures as well as individual counseling and coaching. Together with your colleagues, you will keep the process up to date on content and models to be able to accelerate the entrepreneurs' knowledge and skills in an educational way for them to achieve their goals and reach the market as fast and successful as possible.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have
at least 3 years of experience in the gaming industry
had a role as a producer/designer and/or in marketing/sales.
a university-level degree in any of these areas or earned skills through previous positions and experience
great understanding in business development and how sustainability affects the business model in the gaming industry
great knowledge and skills in a data driven industry
pedagogic experience and a coaching approach

You love creating and facilitating captivating presentations and workshops, regardless of the meeting forms (digital/physical/hybrid). If you have run a startup yourself, it is in your favor, but not a requirement.
As a person, you are independent, driven, empathetic and have skills in building relationships. Your way of working is result-oriented, structured, and inclusive. You have good knowledge of the gaming industry in general and your network is international and up to date. Swedish is not necessary, but your English is second to impeccable.
About the position
Permanent employment (probation period of 6 months), full-time at site (a majority of the time) either in Skövde or Gothenburg.
