Coffee Stain Studios is located in Skövde, Sweden. The city is one of the most game-centric ones in the whole country. People here work with games, Volvo, the military, or at the hospital. No exceptions. We’ve only got like three bars or something, but the train lets you go to both Gothenburg and Stockholm quite easily if you’re into that.?It's a huge plus if you're already here or don't mind moving here. We are mainly looking for someone to join us working from the office.

Game Designer Role Description
We are looking for a Generalist Game Designer to join us on our current project Satisfactory, who will be responsible for a variety of things; from basic content integration, to level design, to system design.
Once you work here it’s important that you have a good understanding of where Satisfactory is today and where we want to take it. Since Satisfactory is still in Early Access, a lot of things are still bound to change and evolve.
We are a relatively small team for the project we have committed to, so any secondary development skills are always appreciated and taking responsibility, wherever you can, is encouraged.
Day to day tasks include but are not limited to:
In-engine content integration and feature implementation
Open world Level Design and content integration
Carrying ideas from conceptualization, through prototyping, to detailed design and implementation
Communication across departments to direct design decisions and feedback
Feature testing, evaluation, tweaking, and balancing
Previous experience (preferably) includes:
Professional experience with Unreal Engine 4
Experience with Unreal Blueprints
Professional experience in a Game Design role, preferably either Level or System Design
A good understanding of general, multi-disciplinary, design principles
The ability to take responsibility, work independently, and communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
Qualifications that are a plus:
Experience with extensive gameplay balancing
Any kind of secondary development skillset
